LATEST PROJECTS

2023

Last year we helped ten schools by providing tanks and pumps to provide water so they could return to a five  day school week with ample water.

Three larger schools  were provided with rain catchment systems to use the rain.

The before and after pictures of the house belongs to Dexter, a single father of four children who helps our groups with activities. The roof was leaking terribly and the back side of the house was falling down. We were able to make the house dry and safe for them.

The last project was the public health center. It lost its pump and had no water to provide services. We redesigned the system and installed a submersible pump and water filtration system.

2022

While most know it as a cruise ship port call and tropical paradise, the living conditions are less than ideal for many living in the interior or away from the tourist spots.

Earlier this year IFBP identified a small school in need of repair and some TLC. On our first trip, we tackled plumbing, drainage, and security issues that were preventing the school from holding classes for the students. In June 2022, we are able to return, clean up the classrooms, meet the students and teachers and hand out school supplies. After some prep work and picking up supplies, we applied a fresh coat of paint to all the classrooms. A new roof and exterior paint are in the works. We also found some time after working hard to enjoy the island!

A huge shout-out to:

  • Jeff & Crystal Mayberry
  • Jennifer McAlister
  • Randy Scroggins
Without the support, donations, and generosity from others, we never would have been able to reach this school and pour into changing the lives of the teachers and students. Thank you! There is still much to do, and many more schools we have already identified to tackle next. We hope to make these trips a recurring event a couple of times a year. If you have ever heard the phrase “hands & feet of Jesus” and wondered what it meant… in some small way, this is applying that principle to give of yourself. To bless others in a way that blesses you too. To help others much less fortunate than us, and show them that they matter, are cared for, and valued. Many have expressed a desire to join us in the upcoming trips. Let us know if you are interested!

“Jesus never called the government to fill this role – He called us.”

Project 1 – 2021

Our first project was just completed at an elementary school in Honduras.

  • Replaced the gate for added security
  • Renovated and fixed the unusable bathroom
  • Raised & changed the graded of the ground to manage flooding
  • Installed whiteboards in the classrooms

This summer the school will receive a new paint job! Many thanks to Donnie Anderson and the team who worked to identify a need, find a solution and apply resources to improve the lives of the kids attending!
